Who is Affordable Maui Weddings? Rev. John Souter started doing Maui weddings over 10 years ago. This Affordable Maui Weddings website has been up for many years helping our Maui wedding couples how to have an inexpensive but still romantic wedding here in the land of Aloha. John or one of his assistants will be happy to get to help answer all of your wedding questions.

Affordable Maui Weddings is a dba for our parent company, Maui Me, Inc. Because good service is what Affordable Maui Weddings is all about, we will work hard to make your Maui wedding day a truly romantic experience. Here is our statement about how we like to do business:

We know how frustrating it is when you can't reach a business on the telephone, especially one that is in a different time zone. We have planned over 1600 Maui weddings for our couples! We're in our eighth year as one of the busiest of the Maui weddings companies. We are a Maui Wedding Planner who has coordinated and sizes of weddings, from small to large Maui weddings. We will use our extensive experience to create a romantic dream Maui wedding for you.

Cancellation Policy

There are occasions when it becomes necessary for a couple to cancel their wedding. This web page is meant to clarify our cancellation policy and to help you become decisive in your wedding plans with us. If there is anything that you do not understand, please call me and I'll discuss it with you.

The greater the amount of time a couple gives us before their cancellation, the more money they will receive back. However, the opposite is also true. The less time given to give us before the wedding, the less money we will be able to refund.

Our $200 deposit is non refundable no matter when a couple cancels. The reason for this is that we will have incurred the cost of calls on our 800 number. We will have spent time booking all of the details of your wedding into our records, and once a wedding is cancelled, we must undo all of the coordination work that we have previous done for the wedding. So the deposit is non refundable.

If you cancel your wedding 30 days or more before the ceremony -- for any reason whatsoever -- we will refund your entire balance, less the $200 deposit & and any non-refundable site or vendor fees. For cancellations closer than 29 days before the wedding or less, you will receive one half of the total billing back minus any non-refundable site or vendor fees. For cancellations less than seven days before your wedding date, no refunds will be granted.

These polices are in effect to give our couples the freedom to cancel if it becomes necessary, but to encourage you to do so with as much time in advance of your wedding date as possible. Our vendors will often have turned down other weddings in order to be able to perform at your wedding. The closer your cancellation is to your wedding date, the less likely it is that they will be able to book another wedding. So, if you must cancel, cancel early.

This page refers to our cancellation policy. If you decide to postpone your wedding date, instead of canceling it completely, talk to me and I'll work with you. Keep in mind that postponed weddings that are eventually cancelled will not be refunded.

Late or Unpaid Balances

We require the balance due on each wedding to be paid 30 days prior to the wedding date. If the balance is not paid, the wedding is subject to cancellation. Wedding balances that are not paid 14 days before the wedding (if not cancelled by us), will be subject to a $200 late payment fee.
