- Hawaii Wedding Legal Details
 There are three things that the State of Hawaii requires for
you to be married here: 1) a State of Hawaii Marriage license,
2) a wedding performer licensed with the state to perform the ceremonies
and 3) witnesses.
You will need an appointment with the marriage license agent.
The cost of this license is $65 and it must be paid in cash to
the State. I will set up your appointment and give you directions
to the license office.

Maui Wedding Reception

- Restaurant Locations
for Small Parties

- Many of the weddings that I do are small
affairs with just the couple and a few friends. Smaller wedding
parties often go to a nearby restaurant for the wedding dinner.
I have a number of restaurants that I can recommend to you.

- On the other hand, you may have a larger
party and want a more elaborate affair at a restaurant. There
are even some restaurants where you will be able to have entertainment
if you desire.

- Other couples like to book an existing
luau for their wedding party. If you want to do this, please
be sure to let me know, as it will effect the time schedule of
your wedding.

- Private Receptions

- If you are renting a private wedding location,
you may also be able to have a reception at that location. The
selection of locations is somewhat limited for those wishing
to have a large reception, but there are sites available (see
Private Sites). Be sure to tell me
your needs so I can let you know what's available on the island.

- Maui Wedding Entertainment

- Entertainment is abundant and varied on
Maui. If price is no object, you can have your own private luau.
Just about anything is available. A fire dancer or a group of
hula dancers can entertain as well as a entire Polynesian dance
troop. We have Hawaiian bands, dance bands (and dance floors)
for your outdoor location, DJs, large tents and chairs, catered
food, etc.

- If you have a reasonable budget, you can
do just about anything. Call us about your reception plans and
we will have our reception specialist contact you.
- Maui Wedding Refunds

- If you need to cancel with Affordable Maui
Weddings you may do so up to 30 days before the ceremony and we will
cheerfully refund all funds you have paid, except your $200 deposit . This does not apply to non-refundable fees on special wedding
site locations.
- For cancellations with
less 30 days before the wedding, charges will be higher. The earlier you
cancel, the more money we can give back. Remember, that the closer you are
to your Maui wedding day and the more vendors we have booked (leaving
them unavailable for other Maui weddings) means that the more charges
you will incur.

- Non-refundable Maui wedding site fees are imposed
by many private and Maui resort wedding locations and of course those
are fees which we have to pay and which we cannot refund. At the time
you book a paid wedding site, we encourage you to ask what the resort or
private site's policy are on refunds.

- Other fees that will often not be returned
are such items as flowers, musicians, site fees, minister, ordered
cakes, engraved glasses, etc. Remember, many of the vendors will
have turned down other business on their schedules and so a last
cancellation incurs greater penalties to compensate these people.

- If it looks like you will have problems
doing your wedding on the date you have booked, by all means
call me. Rescheduling your wedding will be far less expensive
than a last second cancellation.
