Maui Wedding Gardens

You can choose a beautiful garden site for your wedding. This page shows several different locations that will give you an idea of what is available. If you have a larger party, you should consider selecting a garden site. Many of the resorts also have garden sites so you will want to look on that page as well. You can find it by clicking, Resort Sites.

Maui Tropical Plantation

The plantation is a site that contains approximately eight acres and is a popular tourist attraction. They have an hourly tram that will take visitors around the grounds (which gives you an idea about its size). They also have a nice location for lunch, as well as a large gift store on site.

The Plantation has a nice gazebo area next to the pond and a small white bridge perfect for your wedding photography. The location is excellent for a small wedding party or larger groups up to a hundred people. Because it is a private location, alcohol can also be served. There is also a place where the bride can dress and be secluded from the bridegroom.

The location of the gardens is in Maui's central valley, so the weather can be more cloudy than if you are on the beach in South Maui. (But this also has the advantage of providing a little less heat for the couple on hot days).

South Maluaka Beach

This site is not really a garden. It is a grassy park overlooking the beach. While not nearly as nice as Maui Tropical Plantation, it is free. This site is best for couples who want a grassy area or garden-like setting close to the beach. We also use this beach for our dinners overlooking the beach, as those dinners can no longer be situation on the sand.
This park-like area is adjacent to the Maui Prince Hotel. There is one nice grassy area surrounded by colorful scrubs (see picture). There are also several large old trees near the ocean that make a great backdrop for your photography.

There is a rest room available nearby and several parking spaces further away. To find the beach take Piilani Highway (31) south past Kihei. When the road makes a "T" into Wailea Alanui drive, turn left at the signal. Watch for the Maui Prince Resort and turn right towards the ocean on the first road past the hotel. The road is not marked. The only real sign says that it is a "Dead End".
