My name is John Souter, and I specialize in creating romantic Maui beach weddings. I've been performing weddings on Maui for almost ten years having helped over 3400 brides and grooms tie the knot. Maui has the best beaches in Hawaii for a sunset wedding.  We have more and better beaches facing the west than any of the other islands. And we know which beaches are best for your Maui sunset wedding photography. Almost every night there is an awesome sunset which we'll use as a backdrop for your romantic memories.

The best wedding beaches on Maui are on the South Side. Because I've done so many weddings on so many different beaches, I certainly have my favorites. And the best beaches which I use most are more private, with less chance of wind and rain, some rocky outcroppings along with a few palm trees hanging over the beach. Maui has better weather and smaller crowds than any of the other Hawaiian islands. And because of that, it provides an idea location for your Maui wedding ceremony. Finding the Perfect Maui Wedding Location

Of course, the most popular locations for doing a wedding on Maui are the beaches. Maui beach wedding sites are free and we have so many great locations. But don't forget that we can also coordinate your wedding in a tropical garden site, in front of a waterfall, or inside a quaint Maui wedding chapel. You can have whatever Maui wedding location you want.

You can choose a Maui waterfall wedding site. Most natural waterfall sites are either inaccessible on the east side of the island. I have a great waterfall location for couples who want a natural setting overlooking the ocean. It is also perfect for larger groups.

You can also choose a private, secluded estate. There are a number pf homes and other sites available for you to rent. We keep on top of the various sites that are available for our Maui wedding couples.

You can get married in the shadow of Clint Eastwood's house! Yes, some of my Maui beach sites have a view of Clint Eastwood's home in the background.

You can select a beautiful, private tropical garden location. I have several different sites which you can choose from, each in a different part of the island.

You can choose a gazebo site. There are a number of available gazebos, and they all have their own unique look. I even have portable gazebos. Gazebos are best used as a backdrop for your wedding, so that they don't get in the way of your Maui wedding photography or videography.

You can choose a Maui wedding chapel or church. We can help you choose from a wide variety of different locations, including quaint old churches and beautiful wedding chapels.

Professional Maui Wedding Photography

If you check around you'll find that many of the other Maui wedding companies don't have their own photographer on staff. That means for each wedding they book they will have to farm out this service to whoever is available. That also means you will not know how good the photographer is until after you receive your photography back.

I have shot close to 1700 weddings. And I think my work is as good as photographers charging triple what my rates are! I enjoy what I do, and I think it comes out in the quality of the images I will shoot for you.

I shoot only high-quality digital photography. Shooting digital allows me to tell right during the wedding if I have captured the shot. I love the look of candid shots, but I have found that "candids" often look better if they have been a little posed. It is important that your photographer has a good understanding of how to pose you to make you look good. You want to have him put you into good basic poses and then encourage you to respond to each other in the moment. That way, you will look good but you will also be responding naturally to each other.

Our Secret Maui Weather Tips

Many brides tend to worry about what the weather will be here, especially if they are coming during winter. We often hear these concerns on the telephone, because our brides are coming from states where weather is always an issue. Or maybe they've watched or heard that rain is being forecasted in Hawaii... Let me share with you just some tips on how we deal with the weather here:

We help you choose the right Maui wedding location. Maui has definite weather patterns. It rains most on the north and eastern sides of the island, while it is usually sunny on the south side. This means if you choose the right Maui wedding location, you will be much less likely to have to worry about rain.

We will help you choose the best Maui beach locations. After performing weddings for the last ten years here in Hawaii, we know which beaches are most likely to have the best weather and where there will be wind. And we'll help make the right choices for good weather.

We will have a back up beach when the wind is high or rain threatens. Several of the beaches we use are sheltered so that wind is less of a factor. And if it is raining at one beach, it is usually dry at a beach nearby. Whenever the conditions on one beach are not right, we have several great beaches to fall back on.

Over ten years and 1700 Maui weddings, we have only had only two or three weddings rained out. And even on those rare cases, the next day usually dawned bright and gorgeous. In the rare event where we get some bad weather, we can still make certain that you still get Maui'd (perhaps in a covered location).

Don't let the word "Affordable" in our name fool you. It doesn't mean that we do a "cheap" job. It doesn't mean we can't give you the most romantic Maui wedding possible. On the contrary, we know how to provide quality Maui weddings at reasonable prices.

Let me assure you, tying the knot here in paradise offers real value over almost any mainland wedding. A Maui wedding will be surprisingly inexpensive compared to most mainland weddings. One of our brides brought 10 people to her wedding from Connecticut, had a private Maui wedding location and all the trimmings, and told us: "You know, even after paying for everyone to come here, this was still much cheaper than what my friend paid at home just for her sit-down dinner reception."

And you won't have to hop on a jet after the service to get away to a remote destination. You'll already be in paradise. One of the hardest things about coming to Hawaii will be deciding what fun Maui activities you will want to enjoy.

Get married on the beach. With the exception of a State Beach Wedding Permit, all of the beaches are free. Compared to a mainland wedding, you be pleasantly surprised at how inexpensive your Maui wedding can be if you use our services.

All of Our Prices Are Clearly Marked

We believe our prices are reasonable and affordable.  If you've checked our competition, you see that we provide our Maui weddings at affordable rates. We believe that the quality we provide can be offered at reasonable rates.

We clearly list all of our prices right on our website. We do this because we want you to be able to read the prices ahead of time. You don't want surprises later. We will always be completely upfront about our prices. We don't have any hidden fees that we take on later (except of course the excise taxes).

If you order a larger custom wedding or a catered reception dinner, we'll give you a firm price. This is hard to get from most companies. But  the price I give will cover everything. (Some caterers will give a price that doesn't include things like table settings, chairs and the table rentals). We will purposely include all of that in our quote so that you will know there are no hidden changes.

A $200 deposit will book your wedding day on our schedule. Our $200 non-refundable deposit fee will be taken off the price of your wedding (it is not an additional fee). It secures your date on our calendar.

We can offer such good value for our couples because we perform many of our Maui weddings using our in-house staff. Because I am our default minister and Maui wedding photographer, I am able to offer services which maintain our high standards, yet still keep our prices reasonable.
